Where to buy a plant stand for monstera: Tips for you
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Okay, guys, so I’ve got this monstera, right? It’s getting huge, like, seriously out of control. I love it, but it was taking over my living room. It’s started to grow all wild and out, instead of up, you know? So, I figured it needed a plant stand to get things going in the right direction.

First, I hit up the internet. Just typed in “plant stand for monstera” and started scrolling. There are tons of options! I saw some pretty cool modular ones, made of metal and stuff, that you can build in different ways. They looked sturdy, with a steel frame and some kind of coating. But I’m not sure if I want to build a modular one, maybe it is a little complex for me.

Then I found some extra tall ones, which seemed like a good idea because I don’t want to be bending over all the time. My monstera is pretty big, so a taller stand makes sense. I read that some are around 32 inches tall, that would eliminate bending, that’s cool. But I am not pretty sure how my monstera would like it, you know, it already has lived on the ground for a long time.

And I even saw stands for artificial trees! They mentioned 7-9 ft. trees, with a 2-inch pole. But obviously, that’s not what I needed. I mean my monstera is big, but it’s not a tree. So I just skipped that part.

There were also these U-shaped ones that wrap around the plant. They said it’s good for growing vegetables and gives you more space. But I’m just dealing with one big monstera, not a whole garden. Sounds like a little bit of overkill to me, you know, I only have one plant!

I also stumbled upon some company called Vego Garden. They make metal raised beds, and it says they’re good for urban gardening. And they mentioned something about root health, which sounded important. But again, this is more for outdoor gardening, and my monstera lives inside. So, that is not what I wanted either.

Finally, I found some posts specifically about monsteras. Some people suggested using moss poles or bamboo stakes to help them grow upright. They said it helps the plant grow bigger leaves, and you can even train it to grow a certain way. One post mentioned that you can use anything to stake, like even PVC pipes!

So, after all that searching, I decided to go with the simplest route. I just grabbed a bamboo stake from my local garden center and some of those soft plant ties. I carefully inserted the stake into the soil, near the base of the monstera. Then, I gently started tying the stems to the stake, being careful not to damage them. I tried to follow the natural curve of the plant, just guiding it upwards, you know?

It’s been a few weeks now, and it’s actually working! My monstera is looking so much better. It’s growing upwards now, and the new leaves are definitely bigger. It’s not taking over the whole room anymore. So, yeah, just a simple bamboo stake did the trick. Who knew?

Where to buy a plant stand for monstera: Tips for you
  • Started with: A wild, sprawling monstera.
  • Searched for: Plant stands online.
  • Considered: Modular, tall, U-shaped, and metal raised bed options.
  • Learned about: Staking with moss poles or bamboo stakes.
  • Chose: A simple bamboo stake and plant ties.
  • Result: A happier, more upright monstera with bigger leaves!

My suggestion

If you’ve got a monstera that’s getting a bit out of hand, don’t overthink it! Just try a simple stake and see how it goes. It might be all you need to do. And your back will thank you for not having to bend down so much! Hope you guys can get something from my experience!
