The Best Flowerpot Light Blue Options: Top Picks and Buying Guide

Okay, guys, I just finished my little project, and I’m pumped to share it with you all! So, I’ve been wanting to add a splash of color to my patio, and I thought, why not combine that with some cool lighting? That’s how I came up with the idea of making a flowerpot light.

First thing I did was to gather all the stuff I needed. I already had this old, plain-looking flowerpot lying around. It was begging for a makeover! I chose a light blue color because, well, it’s awesome and it gives off this chill vibe. Plus, I found some waterproof LED string lights online that were perfect for this.

The Best Flowerpot Light Blue Options: Top Picks and Buying Guide

I started by giving the flowerpot a good clean. You know, just scrubbing off the dirt and stuff. Then, I applied a primer – gotta make sure that paint sticks well. Once the primer was dry, I painted the pot with that light blue acrylic paint. Took about two coats to get it looking just right.

While the paint was drying, I checked out the LED lights. They were battery-powered, which was great ’cause I didn’t want to deal with any messy cords. I tested them out to make sure they worked, and they did, yay!

  • Clean the flowerpot
  • Apply primer
  • Paint the pot with light blue acrylic paint (two coats)
  • Check and test the waterproof LED string lights
  • Drill holes in the flowerpot for the lights
  • Weave the lights through the holes
  • Place a plant in the pot

Once the pot was completely dry, I drilled a few small holes around it. This was for the lights. Then came the fun part – I carefully weaved the LED string lights through the holes, making sure they were evenly distributed. I left the battery pack hanging out the bottom drainage hole, so it’s kinda hidden but still easy to get to.

The last step was to pick a plant. I went with a cool-looking fern because it seemed to go well with the light blue. I planted it in the pot, and boom, it was done! I waited until it got dark, switched on the lights, and man, it looked amazing. The light blue pot glowed, and the fern looked super cool in the soft light. It’s like, instant ambiance! Or you can choose other plants that you like.

Honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be. And it’s such a neat way to brighten up the space. If you’re looking for a fun little DIY project, I totally recommend giving this a try. It’s cheap, it’s easy, and the result is just awesome!

That’s all I did.

Hope you guys like it! I’m already thinking about what to do next. Maybe some colorful pots, or even try to paint some patterns. We’ll see!
