Okay, so I’ve got a fig tree in my backyard, and it’s been looking a little… sad lately. I’m no expert, so I decided to do a deep dive into “fig tree diseases photos” to see if I could figure out what’s going on.
The Hunt Begins
First things first, I grabbed my phone and started snapping pictures of all the weird stuff I was seeing on my tree. We’re talking brown spots on the leaves, some yellowing, and even a couple of figs that looked like they’d seen better days. I made sure to get good, clear shots from different angles.

The Deep Dive into the Internet
With my photo “evidence” ready, I jumped online. I basically typed “fig tree diseases photos” into a search engine. I scrolled through tons of pictures, comparing them to the ones I took. It was kind of like playing a really depressing game of “spot the difference”.
- Some images show Fig Rust.
- Some images show Fig Mosaic Virus.
- Some images show Leaf Spot.
Matching Game
I looked closely, zooming in on my photos and the ones online. “Okay, that brown spot looks kind of like that one…” It was a slow process, lots of back and forth.
The “Aha!” Moment (Maybe?)
After a while, some of the pictures online started to look familiar. I think I narrowed it down to a couple of possibilities, but honestly, I’m still not 100% sure. It is very likely to be Fig Rust.
Next Steps
So, where does that leave me? Well, I’ve got a few more photos to look at and some more reading to do. I might even try to find a local gardening group or something to get a second opinion.
Figuring out plant problems is tough! But hey, at least I’ve gotten a bit closer to understanding what might be up with my fig tree. Wish me luck!
