Okay, here’s my blog post about building a clearance plant stand:
So, I’ve been wanting to get a plant stand for a while now. I have a bunch of plants that I’ve been wanting to display, but I just didn’t have a good place to put them. I looked around online, but all the plant stands were either super expensive or just not my style. Then, I saw a post about clearance plant stands, and I thought, “Why not try to snag a deal?”

I started my hunt at a few different stores. I checked out the garden sections and the furniture sections, but I didn’t see anything that really caught my eye. Most of the plant stands on clearance were either damaged or just plain ugly. But I didn’t give up! I kept looking, and finally, I found it.
It was a simple metal plant stand, with four tiers. It was a little bit rusty, but nothing that a little bit of paint couldn’t fix. And the best part? It was 71% off! I couldn’t believe my luck. I quickly grabbed it and took it home.
Once I got it home, I started working on it right away. I gave it a good cleaning and then started sanding down the rusty spots. It was a bit of a workout, but it was worth it. After I was done sanding, I gave it a fresh coat of paint. I chose a bright, cheerful color that would really make my plants pop. And I gotta say, choosing a bright color really did the trick.
Once the paint was dry, I started arranging my plants on the stand. This unique 4-tier staggered design really worked for me. I put my tallest plants on the top tier and my smaller plants on the lower tiers. I also added a few decorative items, like some small statues and some colorful pots. When I was done, I stepped back and took a look. I was so happy with how it turned out! My new plant stand was the perfect addition to my home. It was a great way to display my plants, and it added a touch of style to my living room.
Here’s what I learned from this experience:
- Don’t be afraid to shop the clearance section. You never know what treasures you might find!
- A little bit of elbow grease can go a long way. Don’t be afraid to take on a DIY project.
- Have fun with it! Decorating your home should be enjoyable.
I’m so glad I took the time to find and fix up this clearance plant stand. It’s now one of my favorite pieces of furniture in my home. And it all started with a simple idea and a little bit of effort.
