Today, I planted some gardenia seeds. You know, the ones with the white flowers. I’ve always loved how they smell, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First, I gathered all my stuff. I got some small pots, potting soil, and of course, the gardenia seeds. I soaked the seeds in water for a couple of hours. My neighbor told me this helps them sprout. Then I filled the pots with soil, leaving a little space at the top.

Getting My Hands Dirty
Next, I made little holes in the soil with my finger and dropped a seed into each one. I covered them up with a bit of soil and watered them gently. I don’t want to drown them, just enough to make the soil damp.

Waiting Game
Now comes the hard part: waiting. I put the pots in a sunny spot on my windowsill. They say gardenias like warmth and light. I’ll need to keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I’ll see some little green shoots popping up.
I’ll keep you guys updated on how they’re doing. Fingers crossed I can get these babies to grow! I can already imagine my place smelling like a gardenia paradise. It is quite a fulfilling experience.
