Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with colors lately, and I wanted to share this little experiment I did with orchid light purple. It’s a really pretty color, kinda like those light purple flowers, you know? I was thinking, what other colors would look good with this?
First, I just grabbed a piece of paper and colored a big splotch of this orchid light purple. Then I started thinking about what I had around the house that I could use to test out some color combinations.

- I found this old, emerald-colored scarf. I laid it next to the purple, and wow, it looked really fancy! Like something you’d see in a magazine, I swear.
- Then I tried some basic stuff. I drew a black square next to the purple – classic, looked clean.
- Then a white square – also nice, made the purple pop.
- A gray square too- that was a little boring, honestly, but it worked.
But I wanted something more exciting, you know? So I remembered I had this little yellow notepad. I tore off a sheet and put it next to the purple. Boom! It was awesome! They really made each other stand out. I was surprised how good that combo was. This was getting fun!
I also had some chocolate brown construction paper. I cut out a little piece and placed it near the orchid light purple. It was okay, a bit dull for my taste, but it might work for some people who like those earthy tones.
Next, I grabbed an orange from the kitchen. I know, I know, it sounds weird, but I was on a roll! I held the orange next to the purple, and it was surprisingly cool! It was bright and cheerful, like a summer day. It made me feel happy, like a summer vibe.
Conclusion time
So, yeah, that’s what I did. I basically just played around with orchid light purple and a bunch of random stuff I found. It was a good time, and I found out that this color goes well with way more things than I thought. You should try it sometime! It’s a fun way to discover new color combinations.
