Alright, so yesterday I decided to check out this place called Southport, right? Heard they had some amazing flower displays. So, I grabbed my camera, hopped in the car, and drove down there. It was a bit of a drive, but nothing too crazy.
When I got there, first thing I did was find a parking spot. It was a bit crowded, you know, being a weekend and all. Finally found one a little ways from the entrance, but hey, a little walk never hurt anyone.

Paid for my ticket at the booth – they had a couple of options, but I just went for the standard one. Then I walked in, and bam! Flowers everywhere. Seriously, it was like stepping into a different world. They had these huge displays, all different colors and types.
- I saw some roses, they were massive, like bigger than my head.
- Spotted some lilies too, all different shades of pink and white.
- And they had these cool displays with sunflowers, looked like they were reaching for the sky.
I started snapping pictures like crazy. I mean, who wouldn’t, right? I took some close-ups, some wide shots, tried to get all the different angles. I spent a good couple of hours just wandering around, taking it all in.
They had this little cafe there too, so I stopped by, grabbed a coffee and a sandwich. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Sat there for a bit, just enjoying the view, people-watching. It was pretty relaxing, honestly. It’s so refreshing to get out of the city sometimes.
After I finished my lunch, I did another round of the displays, made sure I didn’t miss anything. Took a few more pictures. My camera’s battery is almost dead at this point.
By the time I left, I was pretty beat, but it was a good kind of tired, you know? Totally worth the trip. I ended up with tons of pictures. I’ll probably post some of them later, once I’ve had a chance to go through them all.
The flowers are so beautiful!
If you’re ever in the area, I definitely recommend checking it out. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon, especially if you’re into flowers or just want to see something pretty. It was such a pleasant surprise.
