Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get a new watering can for ages. My old one was this stubby little thing, and honestly, watering my hanging plants was a real pain. I’d have to practically climb on a chair to reach them, and half the water would end up on the floor anyway. So, I finally decided to get one of those “long neck” watering cans. I kept seeing them on Instagram, all stylish and practical-looking, and I thought, “Yeah, that’s what I need!”
The Hunt Begins
First, I hit up my local garden center. They had a few, but they were either super expensive or made of flimsy plastic. I wanted something that would last, you know? And preferably something that wouldn’t look totally hideous on my balcony.

So, plan B: I went online. I spent a good hour just browsing, comparing sizes, materials, and prices. It’s amazing how many different kinds of watering cans there are! I finally found one that seemed perfect: stainless steel, a nice long spout, and a decent capacity. It wasn’t the cheapest, but I figured it was worth it for something I’d be using a lot.
Putting it to the Test
The watering can arrived a few days later, and I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I unboxed it immediately, and it looked even better in person than it did online. The stainless steel had a nice brushed finish, and it felt solid and well-made.
Of course, I had to try it out right away. I filled it up with water – it held more than I expected, which was a bonus. Then came the real test: the hanging plants.
- I reached up with the long spout, and… perfect!
- No more precarious chair-balancing acts.
- The water flowed smoothly and evenly, and I could actually aim it precisely where I wanted it to go.
- My plants were happy, and I was happy.
- Plus after using it i can tell it will last for years.
Seriously, it’s the little things in life, right? This long neck watering can has made my plant-watering routine so much easier and more enjoyable. No more spills, no more straining. It’s a total win!
If you’re struggling with watering hard-to-reach plants, I definitely recommend checking out a long neck watering can. It’s one of those simple upgrades that makes a surprisingly big difference.I’m glad I finnaly did it!
