Okay, so I got this Flowerpot VP9 lamp the other day, and I gotta say, it’s pretty neat. It’s this portable table lamp, and the one I picked up is in this tangy pink color. It’s got this retro vibe that I’m really digging.
First off, the lamp arrived fully assembled. I just pulled it out of the box.

- Opened the box carefully.
- Took the lamp out, it was packed really well, no damage or anything.
- Found a little booklet inside, you know, the usual instructions and stuff.
It’s designed by this guy Verner Panton, a name I’d heard tossed around. Apparently, this design is from way back in 1968, which is pretty cool. It’s for indoors, but the instructions say you can take it outdoors, too, just don’t leave it out in the rain, obviously.
It is small. The size is 16cm / 6.3in wide and 29.5cm / 11.6cm high. So it doesn’t take up a lot of space, which is good for my cluttered desk.
I charged it up. It uses a USB charger. It took a few hours to fully charge. Then, I tested the light settings. It’s got a few different brightness levels, which is handy. You can adjust it by just tapping the top of the lamp.
I carried it around the house, trying it out in different spots. I put it on my bedside table, then on the living room shelf. It’s really easy to move around. I even took it outside to the patio for a bit. It worked just fine out there.
Finally, I left it on my desk. It gives off a nice, warm light. It’s not super bright, but it’s enough to read by. I played around with the dimmer settings some more. I found a level that’s just right for working at night.
So yeah, that’s my experience with the Flowerpot VP9 in pink. It’s a cool little lamp, easy to use, and adds a nice touch to my space.
