Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with different watering cans for my indoor plants lately, and I gotta say, it’s been a bit of a journey. I decided to go with stainless steel ones, you know, for that whole “durability” and “looks kinda fancy” vibe.
First off, I started by looking around for some inspiration. I mean, a watering can is a watering can, right? Well, turns out, there are tons of them out there! Different shapes, sizes, some with these intricate designs that honestly look like they belong in a museum rather than my living room.

So, I started to narrow down what I wanted. I figured I needed something practical, obviously. Something that wouldn’t leak or rust after a few uses. And, let’s be real, something that wouldn’t be an eyesore when I leave it out on the shelf.
- I went for a couple of different stainless steel cans.
- One was a bit smaller, good for my little succulents and stuff.
- The other one was bigger, kind of a statement piece, you could say.
Using them has been interesting. The small one is super easy to handle, gets into those tight spots between the plants without making a mess. The bigger one, though, that’s a bit more of a workout. Filling it up, carrying it around… let’s just say I’ve been skipping arm day at the gym.
But, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. These stainless steel cans, they’re not exactly cheap. And sometimes, I do find myself having to refill them more often than I’d like, especially the smaller one. It’s a bit of a trade-off, I guess. You get the durability and the looks, but you might be making a few extra trips to the sink.
What I Learned
At the end of the day, I’m pretty happy with my stainless steel watering cans. They do the job, they look good, and I feel like they’ll last me a good while. It’s all about finding the right balance between form and function, you know? And maybe doing a few extra bicep curls to prepare for those watering sessions. I tried to water my plants, and I did it. My plants have become more beautiful. I think I will stick to using them.
