Okay, so I stumbled upon this thing called “Carepot” and figured, why not give it a shot? I’m always up for trying new stuff, especially if it involves plants. I’m no expert, mind you, just someone who likes having greenery around.
First, I got my hands on a Carepot. Pretty straightforward, it’s basically a pot with some extra features, I think. I also needed a plant, so I picked up a small fern – seemed easy enough to handle.

Setting Things Up
- I unboxed the Carepot.
- I grabbed some potting mix – the regular kind, nothing fancy.
- Filled the Carepot about halfway with the soil.
- Gently took the fern out of its original container.
- Placed the fern in the Carepot and added more soil around it.
- Pressed down gently to make sure the fern was snug.
So far, so good. It looked just like potting any other plant. The Carepot had this, like, water reservoir thingy at the bottom. I filled that up with water, figuring it’s supposed to help keep the plant hydrated. There was also this little indicator – I guess it tells you when to water again. Neat!
The Waiting Game
Now, I just placed the Carepot on my windowsill and… waited. I’m not really sure what I’m expecting, but the whole point is that it’s supposed to make caring for the plant easier. I usually forget to water my plants, so this is kind of a test.
I checked the water level indicator every few days. It seemed to be going down, so I guess the fern was drinking. I refilled it once when it got low. The fern seemed happy enough – it wasn’t wilting or anything.
The Result
After a couple of weeks, my fern is still alive! Honestly, that’s a win for me. I haven’t killed a plant yet using the Carepot. it is not a miracle, but It’s definitely simpler than my usual method, which is to watch the plants be died. So, I’d say the Carepot is a success. It did what it was supposed to do – kept my plant alive without much effort from me.
