Okay, so today I’m gonna share my experience with using this stuff called “Ambro” to kill weeds. The bottle said to use 2 lbs per 1000 square feet, so that’s what I went with.

First off, I measured my yard. It’s a decent size, nothing crazy, about 2500 square feet, give or take. Then, I got my trusty scale and weighed out 5 lbs of this Ambro stuff. It looked like a bunch of tiny little pellets, kind of like rabbit food or something.

Mixing it up

  • I dumped the pellets into my sprayer. It’s one of those backpack ones you pump up.
  • Then I filled it up with water, like the instructions said.
  • I gave it a good shake to mix everything up. It looked kinda milky, to be honest.

Next, I put on my gloves and safety glasses. You don’t want this stuff on your skin or in your eyes, trust me. Then I started spraying. I walked back and forth, making sure to cover the whole yard evenly. It took a while, and my arm got a little tired from pumping, but I got it done.

After that, I cleaned out the sprayer really good. I rinsed it out a few times with water, just to make sure I got all the Ambro out. Then I just let everything dry.

Now, it’s been a few days, and I’m starting to see some results. The weeds are definitely looking a little sad, some are even turning brown. I think it’s working! I’ll probably have to do another round in a couple of weeks, just to make sure I get all those pesky weeds, but so far, so good. That’s pretty much it.
