Get a Bloom Watering Can: Make Watering Your Plants Easy!

Okay, so today I decided to tackle this whole “bloom watering can” thing. I saw it online and thought, “Hey, that looks neat, let’s give it a shot!”

First things first, I needed a watering can. I just grabbed a cheap plastic one from the garden shed. I’m sure I got this at the home depot or lowes, I don’t remember. I recommend having a few extra on hand just in case you have a hiccup during your DIY process.

Gathering Supplies

  • The Watering Can: Like I said, plain old plastic.
  • Flowers: I picked up a bunch of fake flowers at the local craft store. I’m not exactly a great gardener myself, so I wanted to choose something that looked good but didn’t need an expert to maintain.
  • Some string: We use this to come out of the watering can nozzle.

Putting It Together

I began to tie the string together in a way that when it came out of the watering can, it would look like flowing streams of water. I did this by placing the flowers on the end of the string.

Then, I made sure to fill the inside of the watering can with the remaining flowers to make it look like a full blown garden was coming from within.

The best way to find success with this project is to get creative! There is no set way to create this!

It took a bit of fiddling to get the flowers and string to flow right. I found my process and I stuck to it. You’ll likely find yours too.

Honestly, it was a fun little afternoon project. It adds a bit of whimsy to the garden, and it wasn’t difficult at all. Might even try a bigger one next time!
