Alright, guys, let’s talk about my little project today: the “flowerpot b-zero” thing. I’ve been wanting to make a cute little flower pot, and I finally got around to it. I started, literally, with nothing. Zero. That’s where the “b-zero” part comes in.
First, I gathered my materials. I’m talking basic stuff here: some clay, a few tools I found lying around the house, and a picture of a flowerpot I liked. No fancy equipment, just whatever I could find. I’m all about keeping it simple, you know?

The Messy Part
Next, I started shaping the clay. I’m no expert, so it was pretty rough at first. I just kneaded it like bread dough, trying to get it soft and workable. Then I rolled it out and slowly started forming the base of the pot. Think of it like making a really thick pancake, then slowly pushing up the sides.
- Kneading the clay: This took a while, my hands got tired!
- Forming the base: I used a small bowl to help shape it.
- Building the walls: This was tricky, I had to keep it even.
I kept working at it, adding more clay, smoothing it out, and trying to make it look like, well, a flowerpot. Honestly, it looked more like a lumpy bowl for a while. But I persisted, and slowly but surely, it started to take shape.
The (Slightly) Less Messy Part
Once I had the basic shape, I used my tools to add some details. I scratched in some lines to make it look a bit more interesting, and I smoothed out the rim so it wouldn’t be sharp. Nothing fancy, just a little something to make it look less… blob-like.
Then came the waiting game. I left the pot to dry. It took a surprisingly long time. I checked on it every few hours, poking it gently to see if it was hard enough. Patience is not my strong suit, but I managed.
The Finished (Sort Of) Product
Finally, it was dry! It wasn’t perfect, far from it. It’s a bit wonky, a little uneven, but hey, it’s my wonky, uneven flowerpot. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially considering it was my first try. And it really did start from absolute zero. My little “flowerpot b-zero” is now ready for a plant!
So, that’s my story. No fancy techniques, no professional results, just a fun little project. Maybe I’ll try another one sometime, and maybe it’ll be slightly less wonky. We’ll see!
