Dr. Earth Fertilizer for Weed Review: Pros and Cons for Cannabis Growers!

Okay, so I’ve been messing around with growing my own weed for a while now. I started out with hydroponics ’cause I thought it sounded cool and high-tech. But man, it was a pain! Kept running into problems, my plants would either die or the yield would be crap. So, I decided to switch things up and go back to good ol’ soil.

I did some digging around online and kept seeing people mention Dr. Earth fertilizers. Apparently, they’re organic and all that good stuff. I was a bit skeptical at first, like is this really gonna work, or is it just some hippie nonsense? But I figured, what the heck, let’s give it a shot.

Dr. Earth Fertilizer for Weed Review: Pros and Cons for Cannabis Growers!

I picked up two types of their dry fertilizers, the 4-4-4 and the 3-9-4. People online seemed to like these ones. I also grabbed some other stuff called Big Bloom and Bud Candy fertilizers that people were raving about to see if that would help.

I started with some Dr. Earth Pot of Gold Potting Soil. Got some seeds going, and once they were lookin’ healthy, I started using the fertilizers. I was really just winging it at first, trying to figure out how much and how often to use them. I saw some forums online where people talked about a feeding schedule, but I kinda just did my own thing. I felt like a mad scientist, mixing stuff up and hoping for the best.

For the first few weeks, I just watered them like normal. Then, when I saw the first signs of flowering, I started adding the fertilizers to the soil. I’d sprinkle some around the base of the plants and then water it in. It was pretty messy, not gonna lie.

My Feeding Routine:

  • Weeks 1-3: Just water.
  • Week 4: Started with the 4-4-4, a small amount, once a week.
  • Week 5: Increased the 4-4-4 a bit, still once a week.
  • Week 6: Switched to the 3-9-4, again, once a week.
  • Weeks 7-8: Kept up with the 3-9-4, maybe a bit more than before.

Honestly, I didn’t really measure anything precisely. I just eyeballed it, added a little more if the plants looked like they needed it. I also threw in some of the Big Bloom and Bud Candy stuff a few times, just to see what would happen.

And guess what? It actually worked! I couldn’t believe it. My plants were looking way better than they ever did with the hydro setup. They were bigger, bushier, and the buds were looking super frosty. I was stoked! This is just my experience, and I’m sure there are other ways to do it, but this is what I did. Dr. Earth fertilizers are definitely worth a try if you’re growing in soil. Just don’t be afraid to experiment a little and see what works best for you.

I’m still learning, and my next grow will probably be different, but this was a huge win for me. Organic soil and Dr. Earth fertilizers are the way to go, at least for this newbie grower! I’m happy with the results and can’t wait to see how much better I can get at this. Also, using Dr. Earth was way less stressful than the hydroponics setup. So give it a shot.
