Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get my yard in order, and I finally took the plunge and went all-in on Ryobi gardening tools. Let me tell you about my experience.
Getting Started
First, I headed to the store. I’d heard good things about Ryobi’s One+ system, where one battery fits all the tools, so that’s what I focused on. It seemed like a smart way to save money and space in the long run.

The Lineup
Here’s what I ended up grabbing:
- String Trimmer/Edger: This was my top priority. My edges were a mess!
- Hedge Trimmer: Those bushes were seriously overgrown.
- Leaf Blower: Figured this would make cleanup way easier than raking.
- A couple of extra batteries and a charger: Gotta have backup power!
Putting Them to Work
First up, I tackled the edges with the string trimmer. It was surprisingly powerful! I whipped through the overgrown grass along the sidewalk and driveway in no time. I also easily swapped it to edge mode.
Next, I moved on to the hedge trimmer. This thing sliced through the branches like butter. It made shaping up my unruly bushes way easier than I expected. Those things were looking sharp. So satisfying!
Finally, I fired up the leaf blower. Instead of spending hours raking, I blew all the leaves and clippings into a pile in minutes. seriously, it’s make things very fast.
My Thoughts
Honestly, I’m super impressed. These tools are lightweight, easy to handle, and they get the job done. The battery system is genius – it’s so convenient to just swap batteries between tools.
I feel like I’ve got a whole new yard. Everything looks so much cleaner and more put together. Plus, I didn’t have to mess with gas or cords, which is a huge win in my book.
If you’re thinking about getting some new yard tools, I say going for Ryobi!
