Okay, so I’ve been eyeing the &Tradition Flowerpot VP3 lamp for, like, forever. It’s just so iconic and sleek. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one for my home office. Here’s how the whole thing went down.
First, I spent a good chunk of time just looking at pictures online. You know, making sure it was really what I wanted. I pored over different colors and finishes. They have so many options!

I finally settled on the matte black version. It just seemed so classic and versatile. Seemed like it would work with any future updates.
Finding the Right Place
- I initially thought about putting it on my desk, but then I realized it might take up too much space.
- Then I considered using it as a bedside lamp, but I already had a perfectly good one there.
- Finally, I decided to place it on a small side table in my office. It’s next to a comfy armchair, so it creates a nice little reading nook.
Once I had the lamp and figured out where to put it, it was time to set it up. Super easy, thankfully! It came pretty much assembled. All I had to do was screw in a lightbulb and plug it in.
I fiddled with the positioning a bit, turning it this way and that until the light hit just right. I also adjusted the shade a little to direct the light downwards.
Living With It
I’ve been using the lamp for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it. It gives off such a warm, inviting glow. It’s perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere, especially in the evenings.
I also love how it looks, even when it’s not turned on. It’s just a beautiful object. Sometimes it would become a topic when my friends come to my home.
One thing I noticed is that it’s surprisingly versatile. I’ve moved it around a few times, and it seems to look good anywhere. That matte black finish really does go with everything.

Overall, I’m super happy with my Flowerpot VP3. It was a bit of a splurge, but totally worth it. It’s a piece I know I’ll have and enjoy for years to come. And it does make my working space a little bit cozier.
