Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get some more green in my apartment, and I figured it was time to find some decent house plants. I’m in Minneapolis, so I needed to find some local places that would have healthy plants and, you know, not cost a fortune.
The Hunt Begins
First, I did a quick search online, just to get an idea of what was around. Nothing fancy. I didn’t spend too much time there, just needed to do some search. I wrote down a few store names that popped up repeatedly, figuring those were probably the popular spots.

Hitting the Stores
Next, I actually went out to check these places out. I started with a couple of the bigger nurseries I saw. I walked around, looked at the plants, and honestly, I was kind of overwhelmed. So many choices! I jotted down some notes about the plants that caught my eye – mostly just whether they looked healthy and if the price seemed reasonable.I have written what I have seen
- The first store was pretty good. Lots of variety.
- The second store felt a little…meh. Some of the plants looked a bit sad.
After the big nurseries, I decided to try a smaller, local shop I had seen online. This place was much more my vibe! It felt cozy, and the person working there was super helpful. I asked a bunch of questions about light and watering, and they gave me some great advice.
Making My Choices
After visiting a few shops, I narrowed down my options.I do not have any pet. I ended up getting a snake plant because I heard they’re pretty hard to kill, and a cute little pothos because it looked so cheerful. I think I did pretty good!
The Result
Finally! got my new plants! They’re now happily sitting in my apartment, adding some much-needed life to the place. I’m pretty stoked about how it all turned out.
