Beginners Guide to Finding Profitable Keyword Ideas

Alright, so you wanna know about these “keywords,” huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t rocket science. It’s just words, plain and simple. But these ain’t just any words, mind you. They’re the important ones, the ones that tell folks what yer talkin’ about.

Think of it like this: you go to the store lookin’ for flour. You don’t go askin’ for “that white powdery stuff,” do ya? No, you say “flour.” Flour is the keyword in that situation. Same thing on this here internet thingamajig. You type in “flour,” and up pops all sorts of stuff about flour. That’s how these keywords work.

What are keywords, anyway?

Keywords are just words or phrases that describe what somethin’ is about. If you’re writin’ about apple pie, then “apple pie” is a keyword. “Apples,” “pie crust,” “cinnamon” – those are keywords too. They all tell folks what yer story is about.

Now, why are these keywords so important? Well, it’s like this: the internet is a big, big place. Bigger than any town you ever seen. There’s millions and millions of things on there. How do folks find what they’re lookin’ for? They use keywords. They type ’em into that search bar thingy, and the computer goes and finds all the stuff that matches those words.

So, if you want folks to find your stuff on the internet, you gotta use the right keywords. You gotta figure out what words people are typin’ in when they’re lookin’ for somethin’ like what you’re sellin’ or writin’ about.

How to find good keywords?

Beginners Guide to Finding Profitable Keyword Ideas

Figurin’ out good keywords ain’t always easy. You gotta think like the people who are lookin’ for your stuff. What words would they use? What are they really searchin for

  • Think about what you’re sellin’ or writin’ about. What’s the main topic? Those are your first keywords.
  • Think about other words that are related to your topic. Like, if you’re sellin’ apple pies, you might also use keywords like “dessert,” “bakery,” or “homemade.”
  • Use those google thing, search some things, and see what words pop up at the bottom or side of the page, like “people also ask” or those related searches. That’s what other folks are lookin for.
  • Ask your neighbors, ask your friends, ask anyone. See what words they use when they talk about what you do or sell.

Once you got a list of keywords, you gotta use ’em in your writin’. Put ’em in the title, put ’em in the headin’s, put ’em in the words themselves. But don’t go stuffin’ ’em in everywhere, or it’ll sound all wonky. Just use ’em natural-like, like you’re talkin’ to a friend.

Short-tail keywords vs Long-tail keywords

Now, there are different kinds of keywords. Some are short and sweet, like “apple pie.” Those are called short-tail keywords. Others are longer and more specific, like “best homemade apple pie recipe near me.” Those are called long-tail keywords.

Short-tail keywords are good for gettin’ lots of eyeballs on your stuff, but they’re also more competitive. Lots of folks are usin’ those same keywords. Long-tail keywords are less competitive, so it’s easier to get noticed. But they also get searched less often.

So, what kind of keywords should you use? Well, it depends. If you’re just startin’ out, it’s probably best to focus on those long-tail keywords. They’re easier to rank for, and you’re more likely to get noticed by the folks who are really interested in what you’re sellin’ or writin’ about. Once you start gettin’ some traffic, you can start targetin’ those short-tail keywords too.

Keywords ain’t everything.

Beginners Guide to Finding Profitable Keyword Ideas

Now, keywords are important, but they ain’t the only thing that matters. You also gotta have good stuff to say or sell. If your writin’ is garbage, or your pies taste like dirt, it don’t matter how many keywords you use. Folks ain’t gonna stick around.

So, focus on makin’ good stuff, and then use those keywords to help folks find it. That’s the secret to success on this here internet thing.

And don’t forget to keep an eye on how your keywords are doin’. Are they bringin’ in the right folks? If not, you might need to tweak ’em a bit. It’s a never-ending process, but it’s worth it in the end. This whole thing is like planting a garden, you need to take care of it to make things grow.

Well, that’s about all I know about keywords. Hope it helps ya out. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go bake an apple pie.
