Okay, so, I got into this whole gardening thing a while back, and I really got a thing for these amaryllis plants. They’re big, they’re bold, they’re, like, the divas of the flower world. But just like any diva, they can be a bit high-maintenance sometimes, you know? And that’s when I started noticing some weird stuff going on with my plants. Spots, discoloration, just… not looking their best. I gotta show you some amaryllis diseases pictures I took.
Red Blotches
First thing I saw was these red blotches. Not the good kind of red, like the flower itself. I’m talking about angry, nasty-looking red spots all over the leaves and even the stems.

- It looked like my plants were broken out in some kind of rash.
- Initially I took some pictures, I was freaked out.
- I did some digging, turned out it’s a common thing called, like, “red blotch” or “leaf scorch” or something like that.
Yellow Leaves
Then there were the yellowing leaves. Now, I know plants can get a little yellow sometimes, but this was different.
- This was like a sad, droopy yellow.
- They weren’t getting better, no matter how much I watered them or talked nicely to them.
- I learned that it could be anything from too much water to not enough nutrients. Or, you know, some other disease. Plant stuff, it’s complicated.
Weird Bumps
And don’t even get me started on the weird bumps I found on some of the bulbs.
- It was like they had these gross warts or something.
- I poked at them a little, not gonna lie.
- I captured some pictures of these bumps.
- They felt kind of soft, which was super creepy.
- I found out later those are the signs of a fungal disease.
Anyway, I figured out I gotta be more careful with these plants. I started looking up all this stuff about amaryllis diseases. I even took a bunch of amaryllis diseases pictures to compare and figure out what’s going on. I’m no expert, but I’m learning. And I gotta say, it’s kind of interesting, in a gross, plant-doctor kind of way. I thought you guys might want to see some of these amaryllis diseases pictures, too. It’s always good to know what you’re up against, right?
I learned my lesson for real. It’s not all sunshine and pretty flowers. I gotta keep an eye out, you know? It’s like a whole other world of stuff that can go wrong. And I gotta be ready to deal with it. So, yeah, that’s my amaryllis story for now. I’m still learning, still snapping pictures, and still trying to keep my plants alive and happy. It’s a journey, for sure.
