Cat Palm Temperature Range: Here is a way to Avoid Yellow Leaves!

Okay, so I’ve got this cat palm, right? It’s pretty chill, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t, like, slowly killing it with the wrong temperature. So I started digging around to find the best temperature range for these guys.

First, I grabbed my phone and just started searching. I typed in “cat palm temperature range” and, boom, tons of stuff popped up. It got a bit overwhelming, to be honest.

My Temperature Experiment

After reading a bunch of stuff, I figured I should actually, you know, test things out. I bought a simple thermometer – nothing fancy, just something to get a general idea of the temperature in my living room, where I keep my palm.

I started taking readings at different times of the day: morning, afternoon, and night. I jotted everything down in a little notebook:

  • Morning: Usually around 68-70°F (20-21°C).
  • Afternoon: Can get up to 75°F (24°C) when the sun is blasting through the window.
  • Night: Drops back down to around 65-68°F (18-20°C).

I did this for about a week, just to see if there were any crazy swings. Turns out, my place is pretty stable, temperature-wise.

I did notice one thing though. When I had the AC cranked way up, it could get a little chilly near the palm. The reading dropped to 60ish. So, I moved the palm a bit further away from the vent. Problem solved, hopefully!

All in all, I figured my apartment’s temperature range is work for cat palm! My cat palm seems pretty happy, and I haven’t killed it yet, so I guess I’m doing something right. Just gotta keep an eye on that AC!
