Grapevine Pests and Diseases Pictures: A Quick Identification Guide
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Alright, so today I decided to tackle a problem that’s been bugging me in my backyard vineyard – identifying those pesky grapevine pests and diseases. I mean, I love my grapes, but something’s been munching on them, and I needed to figure out what it was and how to stop it!

Getting Started

First things first, I grabbed my phone and went out to the vineyard. I figured the best way to deal with this was to take a bunch of pictures. Close-ups of the leaves, the vines, the grapes themselves – anything that looked even a little bit off.

Taking The Photos

I made sure to get good lighting. No point in taking blurry, dark photos that wouldn’t help me identify anything! I crouched down, stood on my tippy-toes, and basically did whatever it took to get a clear shot of the damage.I snapping away like a crazy person – different angles, different lighting, you name it.

Inspecting the Damage

  • Leaf Damage: Some leaves had holes, others had brown spots, and some were just plain wilted. I made sure to get pictures of all the different types of damage.
  • Vine Condition: I checked the vines themselves for any weird growths or discoloration. Anything that looked unusual got a photo.
  • Grape Clusters: I examined the grape clusters closely. Were there any missing grapes? Were some of them shriveled or discolored? Yep, pictures of those too.

Looking images

After my photo session, I came back inside with my phone full of * start to check all images what I needed.

Sharing and advice

After all, I think I did a great job to indetify all grapevine pests and diseases. I will keep checking my backyard to save my grapes.
