Using a 13l watering can: Make watering your plants simple

Okay, so I’ve been meaning to upgrade my watering game for the garden. My old watering can was tiny, and it took forever to water everything. I saw this 13-liter watering can and thought, “That’s the ticket!”

Getting Started

First, I unboxed the thing. It was bigger than I expected! Pretty straightforward though – a big plastic jug with a handle and a spout.

The First Fill-Up

  • I dragged it over to the outdoor faucet.
  • Attached the hose.
  • Turned on the water.

Man, it took a while to fill up! I guess that’s what you get with 13 liters. It got pretty heavy too. I hefted it up and realized I might need to work on my arm strength.

Watering Time

I lugged the full can over to my flower beds. Started with the petunias. The flow was good, nice and steady. I could control it pretty well by tilting the can. No splashing or anything.

I moved on to the tomatoes, then the herbs. It was definitely faster than my old can. I could cover more ground with each trip.

The Aftermath

After I finished watering everything, I still had some water left. Bonus! My arms were a little tired, but hey, free workout, right?

I emptied the remaining water and put the can away in the shed. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it. It’s sturdy, does the job, and saves me a bunch of trips back and forth to the faucet. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!
