Okay, so I was looking to get my hands on some soilless potting mix, you know, for my indoor plants. I’d heard it’s pretty good for them, but I wasn’t sure where to find it. I mean, I could have gone to a regular garden center, but I wanted to see what other options were out there.
So, I started by, you know, hitting up the internet. I searched for “where can I buy soilless potting mix” and started going through the results. I saw a bunch of ads, and one of them mentioned ebay. I’ve used ebay before, so I thought, “Why not?” I checked it out, and sure enough, they had a bunch of different soilless potting mixes. I was pretty stoked about that.
I scrolled through a bunch of listings and saw this one called “Molly’s Aroid Mix.” It was labeled as a “Premium Soilless Chunky Potting Mix” specifically designed for tropical and indoor plants. It sounded fancy. The description said it had Orchiata bark, coco chips, worm castings, and horticultural charcoal. I didn’t know what all that stuff was, but it sounded good for plants. And there was also this fancy word, “Mycorrhizae.”

The reviews were good, so I decided to give it a shot. I added it to my cart and looked around some more, just to see what else was out there.

I skimmed through it, but to be honest, it was a bit much for me. I just wanted something that would work, you know? I figure, plants are plants. They just need something to grow in, right?
Anyway, I ended up buying that Molly’s Aroid Mix. I figured it was worth a try. It arrived a few days later, and I repotted a couple of my plants with it. They seem to be doing alright. I mean, they’re not dead, so that’s a good sign, I guess.

So, yeah, that’s how I ended up buying soilless potting mix. It was a pretty easy process, really. I just searched online, found something that looked good, and bought it. If you’re looking for some yourself, I’d say check out ebay. They seem to have a lot of options. And if you’re feeling adventurous, maybe try that Molly’s Aroid Mix. It seems to be working for me, so far.
Oh, and don’t get too bogged down in those buying guides. Just pick something and go with it. Plants are pretty resilient, I think. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.
