Small Indoor Plants Low Light: The Ultimate Guide for Beginners!

I decided to add some greenery to my little apartment. I went to the local store and looked around, finding some plants that looked nice. So I took them home.

But my place doesn’t get a lot of natural light, you know? So I tried to put those plants near the windows, but they still looked like they were struggling. One of them even started to lose some leaves, that was sad. It was a tough situation, and I didn’t know what to do next.

Small Indoor Plants Low Light: The Ultimate Guide for Beginners!

I realized I had to find plants that are okay with low light. I don’t have pets or kids, so I didn’t have to worry about that. But still, finding the right plants was a bit of a challenge.

After some searching around, I found out about Snake Plants, ZZ Plants, and Peace Lilies. They say these guys can handle not having a lot of light. That sounded perfect, so I got some and brought them home.

I placed them in different spots in my apartment, some in corners, some on shelves, basically anywhere that didn’t get much sun. It was an experiment, and I was excited to see how they would do. I wanted to create a little indoor garden in my own space, despite the low light situation. I hoped these plants could survive and maybe even make the air in my apartment a bit cleaner.

  • Snake Plant: Put one in the bedroom, in a corner that’s pretty dim.
  • ZZ Plant: Placed this one on a shelf in the living room, not directly by the window.
  • Peace Lily: This one went near a small window in the kitchen, where it only gets a little bit of light.

I have been checking on them every day, making sure they’re doing okay. It’s cool to see how they grow, even without much sunlight. I hope they will be great here.

So that’s how I managed to set up my indoor garden with plants that are cool with low light. It’s pretty awesome to have some green around, and it feels good to take care of them. It’s my little gardening adventure, right here in my apartment, making my space a bit more lively and fresh. I hope this little indoor garden will continue to grow and bring a bit of nature into my home.

What I Learned

I learned that having plants around is good for cleaning the air inside and even make my space more lively, which is pretty cool. I discovered that plants like the Snake Plant, ZZ Plant, and Peace Lily are great for indoor gardens that don’t get a lot of light.
