Okay, so the other day I finally got my hands on those 5 blade herb scissors. You know the ones, they’ve got like five blades all stacked up together. I’d seen them around, and, well, I just had to try them out.
First off, I grabbed a bunch of fresh parsley from my little herb garden. Usually, chopping herbs is a bit of a pain, right? You gotta get out the cutting board, your knife, and then it takes forever to get a decent fine chop. Plus, it’s messy.

So, I took these scissors and just started snipping away at the parsley, holding it right over the bowl. And let me tell you, it was fast! Like, way faster than using a knife.
- Five blades really do make a difference.
- It was like, snip, snip, snip, and I had a whole pile of perfectly chopped herbs.
I tried it with some other herbs too – cilantro, chives, even some basil. Same deal, super quick and easy. And the best part? No cutting board to wash! Just rinse the scissors and you’re done. No more getting all those little bits of green stuck to my knife and board.
I’ve gotta say, these scissors are pretty neat. They are sharp, so be careful! But they really do what they’re supposed to. They make chopping herbs a breeze. Clean up is easy, and it’s just so much quicker than the old knife and cutting board routine. If you do a lot of cooking with fresh herbs, you might want to check these out, too.
My final thought
These 5 blade herb scissors? They’re a win in my book. A solid kitchen tool. Definitely a fun little thing to add to the kitchen.
