Okay, so, the other day I got this thing called “five blade scissors for herbs” from Amazon. Yeah, I heard that right, five blades on one pair of scissors! Sounds crazy, right? I was curious, so I decided to give it a try.
First off, finding the right one was a bit of a task. I searched through a bunch of options, and finally, I picked one that had good reviews, which is from Jenaluca. It looked decent, and people seemed to like it. I also looked at some other brands like Oxo, but this one caught my eye. Oh, and the price was not too bad, I got it on sale for around 15 bucks.

Unboxing and First Impressions
When the package arrived, I eagerly opened it up. The scissors came with a little cover for the blades, which is handy, I guess. Holding them in my hand, they felt okay, not too heavy, not too light. The handles were made of some kind of plastic, and the blades were all shiny and new.
Putting Them to the Test
- Chopping Herbs
I had some fresh parsley and chives that needed chopping, so I grabbed the scissors and started snipping. It was weird at first, with all those blades going at once. But, I have to admit, it was kind of satisfying to see the herbs getting chopped up so quickly. It definitely was faster than using a regular knife or scissors.
- Tackling Other Greens
I also tried them on some cilantro and leafy greens. They worked pretty well on those too. I even tried cutting up some green onions, and they sliced through them like butter. I guess these scissors are not just for herbs!
Cleaning Up
After I was done, I needed to clean the scissors. It was a bit tricky getting all the little bits of herbs out from between the blades. I had to use the little cleaning brush that came with it, and it took some time. But, hey, it was not a big deal.
Final Thoughts
So, after using these five blade herb scissors for a while, I think they are pretty cool. They do what they are supposed to do, and they make chopping herbs and other greens a lot faster. I am not sure if I will use them every day, but they are definitely a fun and useful tool to have in the kitchen. I guess I am happy with my purchase.
