Today, I wanted to share a little project I did with a small galvanized watering can. I got this watering can a while back, and it’s been super useful for my indoor plants.
First off, I filled the can with water. It holds about a gallon, which is just the right size for me. I noticed that this watering can has a removable spout, which is pretty cool. It makes it easy to clean and also lets me control the water flow better. I decided to keep the spout on for this time, as my plants needed a gentle shower.

I started with my succulents, as they are the ones that need the least amount of water. I carefully poured water around the base of each plant, making sure not to get the leaves wet.
- Then, I moved on to my ferns. These guys love water, so I gave them a good soaking.
- After that, I watered my peace lily.
- Finished up with my spider plant.
Once I was done, I emptied any remaining water from the can. I find that if I leave water sitting in it, it can get a bit rusty, so I always make sure to dry it out completely. I also give it a quick rinse every now and then to keep it clean.
Some Thoughts
Using this small galvanized watering can has made watering my plants so much easier. It’s much more convenient than using a big watering can or a hose, especially for indoor plants. Plus, I think it looks kind of cute sitting on my windowsill.
If you’re looking for a simple and effective way to water your indoor or even outdoor plants, I definitely recommend giving a small galvanized watering can a try. You can easily find it in some shops.
Alright, that’s it for my little watering can adventure today. Hope you found this little sharing helpful or at least a bit entertaining. Happy gardening, everyone!
