The Best Plant Stand for Monstera: Top Picks for Your Leafy Friend!

Okay, so, I’ve been really getting into houseplants lately, and my Monstera has been growing like crazy. It’s gotten so big that it started leaning over, and I knew I needed to do something about it. I decided to build a plant stand for it – nothing fancy, just something to keep it upright and looking good.

First, I looked around online for some ideas, and I saw a lot of people using moss poles. But honestly, they seemed a bit pricey and not always the best quality. Plus, I kind of wanted something a bit more natural-looking. Then I remembered I had some bamboo stakes left over from my garden.

So, I grabbed a few of those bamboo stakes and my Monstera’s pot. It’s a pretty heavy ceramic pot, which is good because the plant is getting top-heavy. I carefully pushed the stakes into the soil around the base of the plant, making sure not to damage the roots. I used three stakes, spacing them out evenly to give good support.

  • Get a heavy pot that won’t tip over.
  • Use bamboo stakes (or moss poles if you prefer).
  • Carefully push the stakes into the soil around the plant.

Once the stakes were in place, I used some soft plant ties to gently secure the Monstera’s stems to the stakes. I made sure not to tie them too tightly, just enough to keep the plant upright. I also made sure to check for any areas that were drooping and added some extra ties for support.

It worked like a charm!

My Monstera is now standing tall and proud, and it looks so much better. Plus, it seems happier now that it’s not constantly leaning over. I also noticed that since I staked it, the leaves have started growing bigger and with more of those cool splits and holes. It really gives my living room a whole tropical vibe.

Building this plant stand was a super easy project, and it made a huge difference for my Monstera. If you have a Monstera that’s getting a bit out of control, I definitely recommend giving this a try. It’s a cheap and easy way to keep your plant healthy and looking its best.
