Guys, I gotta tell you about this little project I did today, it’s about making a stand for my snake plant. So, I’ve got this snake plant, right? It’s super easy to take care of, and it even cleans the air, which is pretty cool. But I wanted to make it look even better in my room, so I thought, why not build a stand for it?
First, I looked around for some ideas. I found out that you can use almost anything as a stand – like a stool, a washtub, or even one of those fancy champagne stands. The idea is to lift the plant up a bit. This not only makes it look nicer but also helps the plant get more light and air. And you know what? Good air circulation can stop mold and mildew from growing, which is a big win.

I decided to use an old stool I had lying around. It was in pretty good shape, but I wanted to give it a bit of a worn-out look. So, I grabbed some sandpaper and started sanding down the paint. I just sanded here and there, not too much, just enough to give it that distressed, vintage vibe.
Then I thought, it would be interesting to play with different heights. I remembered reading somewhere that mixing tall plants like snake plants with hanging ones like pothos can look really dynamic. So I grabbed a pothos plant I had and placed it near the snake plant on its new stand. The way the tall leaves of the snake plant and the hanging vines of the pothos look together is just awesome.
After setting it all up, I took a step back to look at my work. It’s amazing how such a small change can make the room look so much more alive and stylish. Plus, I know that elevating the plant like this is good for its health.
- Sanding the stool: Gave it that cool, old-school look.
- Mixing plant types: The tall snake plant and the hanging pothos look great together.
- Elevating the plant: Good for its health and makes it look way better.
So, that’s the story of my snake plant stand. It was a fun, easy project, and it made a big difference in my room. If you’re looking for a simple way to make your plants and your room look better, you should totally try this out!
Things I Did:
- Looked for ideas: Found out anything can be a plant stand.
- Used an old stool: Decided to upcycle it for my plant.
- Sanded the stool: Made it look vintage and cool.
- Added another plant: Mixed a pothos with the snake plant for a better look.
And that’s all there is to it. A simple project, but it really spruced up the place. If you’ve got a snake plant or any plant, really, give this a try. It’s easy, fun, and your plants will thank you for it!
