Hey everyone, so I recently got my hands on these 5-blade herb scissors, and let me tell you, they’re kind of a mixed bag. I saw them online and I thought it was a good tool, so I decided to buy them and try it out.
First off, I washed them thoroughly ’cause hygiene is key, right? Then I grabbed a bunch of fresh cilantro from my fridge – I love cooking with fresh herbs. Holding the scissors felt a bit weird at first, they’re definitely heavier than regular scissors. I started snipping away at the cilantro, and wow, it really does cut through a lot of stems at once! Five blades do make a difference.

I managed to chop up a whole bunch of cilantro in just a few minutes. It’s definitely faster than using a knife, especially when you’re dealing with delicate herbs that you don’t want to bruise. These herb scissors sliced through them pretty cleanly. Cutting green onions was also easy.
- Saves time: Seriously, it’s quicker than chopping with a knife.
- Even cuts: You get these nice, uniform pieces, which is great for presentation.
But here’s the catch – cleaning these things is a real pain. Food gets stuck between those five blades, and it’s super hard to get it all out. I tried rinsing them under the tap, using a brush, even poking around with a toothpick, but there were still tiny bits of herb stuck in there. You can only use them for small herbs, or it would be too hard to clean them.
So, my final thoughts? These 5-blade herb scissors are cool for quickly chopping up herbs, but the cleaning part is a major drawback. I finally achieved my goal of chopping all the herbs I need, but I’m not sure if I’ll be using them every day. They’re now sitting in my kitchen drawer, probably only to be used when I’m feeling particularly lazy about chopping. Maybe they’re better for someone who has a dishwasher, but for me, they’re just okay.
